Don’t Deport LA Father Who Was Picked Up While Dropping His Daughter at School
The fight to keep Romulo with his family is not over! We need you to contact ICE TODAY to tell them not to deport Romulo Avelica Gonzalez, (A# 095-776-645) and to urge ICE to release Romulo on bond. Let them know that deporting Rómulo would terrorize LA-area students and their families.
Romulo Avelica-Gonzalez (A 095 776 645) is a 48-year-old father of four USC children. He has lived in the US for more than 25 years. This morning, Romulo was arrested by ICE just one block from his daughter’s school in Highland Park. He and his wife had just dropped off their 13-year-old daughter and were heading to their other daughter’s school to drop her off next when ICE approached them. Romulo’s wife and 12-year-old daughter were in the car when he was taken.
ICE has indicated they intend to deport Romulo.
Romulo’s daughter’s school will be holding an assembly at 3pm today to demand a stop to his deportation. Attorney General Xavier Becerra and Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis are reaching out to ICE to demand they halt Romulo’s deportation.
We need your support now. Please sign below and call ICE to tell them: Don’t deport Romulo!
