BAJI, the Black Alliance for Just Immigration, in partnership with the International Society of Black Latinos, Little Ethiopia Cultural Resource Center, and African Diplomatic Academy, recently hosted the first-ever LA mayoral forum with various other Black migrant groups & leaders. In a much-needed conversation with the candidates for LA Mayor, participants included Democrat Karen Bass and non-partisan, Progressive, and self-professed “disruptor” Gina Viola who recently entered the race.
