From October 5th to October 7th, 2017, Los Angeles premiere of Indian fashion event, ‘ Week’ – is slated to occur with the primary goal of promoting Indian fashion in the area. This event will be at Holiday Inn Buena Park Resort and Convention Center, 7000 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90620.
This event is the only one of it’s kind and is open to the public. The event will feature designers and fashion vendors from India and the US and will showcase their designs via fashion shows. Clothing and accessories will be available for sale from 11 am to 6 pm in the Grand Ballroom.
Various fashion shows will be presented with the opening show by Lucknow, India designer label ‘Voila’ by Roma Bhalla presenting their hand embroidered traditional chikankari collection. Prominent local stores Frontier Heritage and Sari Palace will also be showcasing their latest designs on the ramp.
New local clothing designers such as B.H. Kazimov and Harshi’s will be debuting their collections with a fashion show. Last year’s finale designer Namaslay will be returning with a fashion show.
Celebrity Indian designer Rohit Verma will be the fashion show finale. A trendsetter on the Indian fashion scene, with his quirky design sense Rohit creates unique masterpieces from gowns to sarees with inspiration drawn from Gods and Angels. Rohit is known for his popular show on Zoom TV called ‘Style Strip’ and had a notorious stint on the popular Indian show ‘Big Boss’. Rohit was also seen as himself, in the Blockbuster movie ‘Fashion’ by Madhur Bhandarkar.
The event launch open by invitation only will be at Tandoori Garden Restaurant in Anaheim on October 6th, 2017, where attendees will have the opportunity to network with our out of town and local designers and vendors.
One Sequin from the Bay Area with their sustainable luxury fashion, Mahavir Saris from Mumbai, India, Sajja from Virginia and Ritu’s Ensemble from Columbus Ohio will be some of the designer/vendors exhibiting for the first time at LAIFW.
Local jewelry brands Clumas and ZZ Collections and clothing brands Ethnic Trendz and Shreem Boutique amongst many others will be seen with their latest collections.
