IMPact Radio Show, Where immigrants and Americans discuss America today
Los Angeles, November 20, 2018 — Pamela Anchang, the dynamic publisher and editor-in-chief of The Immigrant Magazine, will debut her new hour-long weekly radio show “IMPact” on KFPK radio (www.kpfk.org) on Sunday, November 25th at 1 p.m. PST, in its regular timeslot.
‘IMPact’ is an informative talk show that reflects the diverse voices of America today and explores issues relevant to its immigrant community. Each week, the show will feature a diverse panel of guests who will discuss perspectives and topics facing immigrants. The show will highlight significant achievements by immigrants, American success stories, and discuss issues relevant to their development in arts and entertainment, education, politics, science, technology, philanthropy, and much more. ‘IMPact’ will also focus on prominent and distinguished dignitaries from around the world who lend their expertise and commentary to the respective show topics.
“The United States of America is a nation of immigrants and their contributions to the fabric of the US make it unique and different from the rest of the world,” comments Anchang. “The US is one of the few countries in the world where immigrants can come and start a business and grow to become multi-millionaires. US migrants do impact the global community in multiple aspects and so must be noticed and celebrated. I developed ‘IMPact’ to provide a forum where they will be acknowledged and made relevant to the world.”
On November 25, the first episode will take an in-depth look at the value of the immigrant vote in shaping America – Democrats or Republicans – which political party is better for immigrants? Panelists discussing the topic will include former Republican candidate for California’s 43rd Congressional District in the U.S. House Mr. Edwin Duterte, Chairman of the Korean American Democratic Committee Mr. Benito Pak and Executive Director, Vamos Unidos USA Mr. Juan José Gutiérrez.
