The singer recorded a hopeful message that was part of Define American’s virtual graduation ceremony over the weekend. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, many colleges and universities have hosted virtual graduation ceremonies adhering to stay-at-home orders and social distancing guidelines. In the address, Gomez recounted part of her family’s experience as immigrants and how their sacrifices helped shape who she is today.
