AFRICA’S BRAIN BANK® (ABB) is proud to announce its 5th Annual Summit & Charity Ball, an impactful four-day event running from December 5th to 9th, 2024, at the Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. With the theme “Africa, The Mitochondrion of the World: The Breath Bag & The Bread Basket,” this year’s summit will bring together Africans and African descendants from around the world, united in the mission to reverse Africa’s brain drain and build a sustainable future.
Picture an elegant evening filled with purpose, where Africa’s brightest minds gather to inspire transformative conversations. Attendees will include successful individuals from various sectors, along with industry experts, entrepreneurs, investors, celebrities, government officials, and leaders of national and international organizations.
Since its founding in 2018, AFRICA’S BRAIN BANK® has pursued a vision to create a robust repository of Africa’s intellectual capital. Based in the U.S. with associates across the African Union regions, ABB is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to galvanizing African leaders and professionals to reconnect, rebuild, and serve Africa through an interactive digital platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Event Highlights
The summit will feature engaging discussions, panels, and celebrations addressing key challenges and opportunities, including:
- Food Security and Agriculture: Conversations on food safety, preservation, waste management, and strategies for engaging youth in agriculture through education and technology.
- Health Security: Addressing persistent threats such as HIV and other infectious diseases.
- Business-to-Investor Matching (BIB): Facilitating transatlantic trade by connecting African and diaspora-owned businesses with investors, mentors, and other entrepreneurs.
- STEM Education and Development: Raising funds to support STEM education and projects that inspire the next generation of African innovators.
- Ecosystem Collaboration: Fostering partnerships among farmers, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and consumers to strengthen Africa’s economic ecosystem.

The summit will conclude with a prestigious Charity Ball, where attendees will celebrate Africa’s rich cultural heritage and raise funds for STEM-related projects focused on food security, education, and other critical development initiatives. These efforts align with ABB’s mission of “Collaboration, Development, Service” to uplift Africa and its global community.
