Maria ToresMaria Amor Torres, born and raised in the Philippines, is an extremely talented and ambitious entrepreneur. Currently operating as a dance and fitness instructor who commits her time and energy into her own brand that she calls “Exotifitâ„¢.” With regular classes for groups as well as one-on-one instruction and high profile performances with her dance troupe, comprised of students and her growing teaching staff; Maria’s Exotifit is catching on fast in the LA area, and she doesn’t intend to stop there.

She attributes her success in large part to her unique background. Coming from humble beginnings, in a strict home where music was discouraged and dancing sometimes forbidden. As a young teen, Maria took it upon herself to learn and develop her own styles of dance. At the age of 6, she recalls instructing her sister, a year her junior, in dance routines she created and was often the default dance team captain and leader, experimenting with new moves, routines and styles. To enrich her aesthetic character, she took painting lessons from famous painters in the Philippines.

In her pre-college years, Maria enrolled in aerobics training and engaged in a series of grueling weight lifting routines which eventually paid off, as she won several Miss Bikini and Body Fitness Competitions. She started teaching Aerobics in 2000, gaining respect, clients and friends, convinced that one day, she would create something to revolutionize the world of Fitness.

Maria Tores“As Health and Fitness awareness gains worldwide popularity, the search for the most effective and entertaining workout is paramount. With the global economies in turmoil consumers are looking for more quality and innovation in their quest to get and stay fit. That’s why I created Exotifit to revolutionize Fitness the practical, effective and entertaining way. Its based on several dance styles and fused with raw energy, rhythm and sensuality.”

Maria is also a philanthropist. In 2003, she founded Katawang Pinoy Foundation with the aim of uplifting the lives of body builders, aerobics instructors and other related fields of endeavor. Today, Maria is a Certified Aerobics Instructor, Certified Ballroom Dance Instructor, a gifted Paint Artist, Founder and Creator of Exotifit and President of MLT Enterprises.

Maria brings a dynamic vision to her business and entertainment endeavors. Her quest for knowledge and new skills is unstoppable. She simultaneously took training in Alternative Medicine and put up a Traditional Healthcare Clinic after years immersed in manufacture of handicrafts out of indigenous and recycled materials. Having gained confidence from supplying small companies she ventured into supplying corporate giveaways for companies like the National Bookstore, Duty Free Philippines and SM Department Store.
