Panelists/Activists Alysia Reiner, an actress, best known as “FIG” on all 7 seasons of Orange Is the New Black, for which she won a SAG AWARD. She just wrapped her 5th season as Sunny on Peabody Award-winning Better Things on F/X x HULU, as well as the first season of STARZ’s Shining Vale with Courtney Cox and Greg Kinnear.
Jeanette Arellano, VDLA, is a Milwaukee-based community activist artist. She dedicates her efforts to Milwaukee’s Latinx community, creating work on issues in cultural, social change, and immigration. Through her artwork, Jeanette collaborates with artist-activist groups such as Voces De Los Artistas, Art Build Workers, and Raices Revolucionarias.
Rén Ayala, (Artist), Womb-Keeper, Herbalist, & Multihyphenate Artist, Art Start, is a Traditional Womb Keeper, Medicine Maker, Poet, Writer, & Multi-Dimensional Artist with Indigenous roots from Abya Yala within Michoacán, Mexico. Jovanny Hernandez Caballero, Photojournalist & Community Artist, Art Start lives and works in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His work pays homage to his ancestral homeland.
Enrique Cristobal, Artist, and Activist, CCIJ, is a substance abuse counselor, mentor, and community organizer. During the 17 years, he was incarcerated he attended classes, workshops, and self-help groups, and obtained his GED as well as his certification to be a substance use counselor.
Juanita Monsalve, Senior Marketing & Creative Director, United We Dream (UWD), serves as United We Dream’s Senior Marketing and Creative Director. As such, Juanita leads the network’s digital engagement of members, communication and narrative strategies, as well as culture change strategies to build the power of undocumented people in the U.S.
