ExitSigns.com's leadership believes that it has a responsibility in educating customers about their eco-friendly product options and that with such knowledge they can slowly offset the trends of global warming. An estimated 100 million of exit signs across America, many consuming up to 40-watts of electricity using 2 bulbs that need to be changed every 3000 hours. Switching to GreenTorch Certified Electrical Exit Signs using up to 1/100th of the wattage and up to a 30-year light source will have a dramatic immediate impact upon the power grid and greatly reduce the number of discarded light bulbs. Furthermore, many of these signs can be switched over to our GreenTorch Non-electrical exit signs that would go a step further by removing the signs completely off the grid, as well as, removing the need for using battery backup systems that have to be discarded and replaced every 5 years.
