New York City Mayor Eric Adams Addresses Global Black Leaders in Tech Trade and Africa’s Brain Drain at 6th Annual AFRICA’s BRAIN BANK® Summit and Charity Gala in New York
“It is time to stop draining the brain of Africa,” Adams said. “History has shown us that everything that is great, that has happened globally, is in the continent of Africa, and has cascaded out,” said Adams of New York City with the largest Black Population of 2.4 Million of African descent outside of Africa. “It is time for us to use all of our natural resources. The reunification of Africa is crucial, and we must do it together,” Adams said.
According to Dr. Fomunung, AFRICA’s BRAIN BANK® is an interactive, intellectual digital repository linking the most brilliant minds of African experts and iconic leaders in diverse industry sectors from Africa and across the African Diaspora and continent. This innovative platform showcases Africa’s expertise, with the mission of ending Africa’s brain drain by making the global African Intellectual Capital accessible to all African descendants, and reducing the talent migration from Africa through cross-continent collaboration from New York to Zambia, knowledge sharing, and access to resources and education.
