Following the proven success of international initiatives such as FilmBC and FilmAsia, the DaVinci International Film Festival (DIFF), the premier boutique awards platform celebrating independent cinema from around the world, is proud to introduce FilmAfrica. This year, the FilmAfrica program will significantly expand its presence, moving beyond a standard two-hour showcase to headline the Opening Night celebration. This prestigious event serves as a foundational step toward the establishment of a new DaVinci festival location in Nairobi next year. DIFF founder Chadwick Pelletier recently visited Africa to finalize the partnership.
FilmAfrica will be featured prominently in DIFF’s Opening Night ceremonies on October 10th at AMC Theaters, The Grove in Los Angeles. Further, DIFF will screen Official Kenyan Oscar® submitted film for Best International Film “NAWI” screening, and present an Honorary Leo Award (tbd), and much more.
