The Power of Connecting

The Immigrant Magazine is proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage. On the cover and inside our Heritage column we present some Latin heroes who we believe have shaped their communities and put the Latin image on the map. It is important for us to show the contributions of these immigrants in Education, Entertainment, and Technology etc. We have explored from the well known to the not so well known to show you a spectrum of heroes who make a difference and show us the possibilities that lie ahead for us and our children. For that we are grateful.

This issue also welcomes David Beckham the most popular new immigrant in town. We hope that his coming once more goes to reflect the fact that immigrants are not the illegal immigrants we so often hear about but that the term immigrant is defined as "a person who migrates to another country, usually for permanent residence". Let us therefore embrace that we are immigrants and great contributors to the nation that has hosted us and to our heritage from hence we come. As we welcome David we also join the American Italian community to bid "ADDIO" to A World Legend, the late Maestro Luciano Pavarotti.
Making strides in a foreign land requires a lot of courage and determination .I encourage you to read the articles in this edition on immigration, enterprise, and the immigrant experience. These stories are there to assist, and share knowledge that we hope will be encouraging and empowering.
Most real estate agents make buying a house seem so simple. What they leave out is the reality of what it takes to maintain and the program that is right for you. In this edition we dissect the real estate market atmosphere as it stands today.

The Immigrant Magazine would like to invite you to it's unveiling of a new phase in its growth.This edition being the last but one before another year begins we have completely overhauled our website and will be publishing all your articles, releases from us and from you on the web.You can now visit and send family and friends to read your articles on line.We encourage you to send us your experiences as immigrants as well as educational and inspirational articles for our online edition.
We do hope that you enjoy our weekly calendars of events from all across the nation to help us all connect with each other.if you are not getting our e-mails I encourage you to send us an email and request to be included to the database.

Finally I would like to introduce you to another new development in the company.We have created a multi-media platform for the immigrant community through the incorporation of our website,our events and our print magazine.You can be a part of this in many different ways either by supporting our events, subscribing online to the print or joining our multi-faceted marketing campaign if you are a business owner.The first of our events will be this October 18th called GLOBAL FUSION 6 which is a six part international Indoors Festival Concert Series. This has always been our wish to connect immigrants from all over the world to celebrate the richness of our diversity.
