From October 5th to October 7th, a first of its kind ‘Los Angeles India Fashion Week’ drew designers from a wide spectrum of the Indian and South Asian. Hosted in Little India in the city of Artesia, it was a weeklong display of amazing Indian designs and beauty accessories culminating in a grand finale event at the Sheraton Cerritos on Sunday, October 8th from 11 am to 6 pm.

First LA Indian Fashion Week A Phenomenal Success, ESDIAC Global APP Teams Up To Connect Families And Businesses Across The Globe

From October 5th to October 7th, fashion enthusiasts were treated to the first of its kind ‘Los Angeles India Fashion Week’. An event that drew designers from a wide spectrum of the Indian and South Asian community, it was a beautiful buffet of fashion related events in Little India in the city of Artesia, culminating in a grand finale event at the Sheraton Cerritos on Sunday, October 8th from 11 am to 6 pm where models, designers and vendors from India, various US states and locals showcased the latest trends in Indian designer wear from casual, to ceremonial garments fit for royalty and a plethora of accessories to match.

A United Nigerian Diaspora Celebrates 57th Birthday

NAPAC West Coast hosted the 57th Nigerian Independence Day Parade in the city of Carson, California. A celebration of Nigerian culture and diversity, it captured the spirit of unity among people from all ethnic, cultural or religious affiliations. Nigerians in the diaspora set aside any differences, opinions and cultures, and came together as one people under one nation.

DACA: Renew! Renew! Renew!

With just one week until the window closes for DACA recipients to renew expiring permits, immigrant rights groups, government and school officials and immigration attorneys are out in force with a united message: Renew, renew!

Their message is directed at those whose permits will expire by March 5, 2018, but who now only have until Oct. 5 to get their renewal applications into U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Failure to meet the deadline — delivered not postmarked — will cause the recipient to lose his or her temporary protections from deportation, as well as the social security number and work permit that come with DACA status.
