Sexy ltalian Actor Diego Antolini’s Hollywood Debut,
“The Door Of Time”

On September 2006, Italian actor Diego Antolini set foot on US soil. Like all immigrants he dreamed of making it big in Hollywood the show-business capital of the world. He certainly is on his way to realizing those dreams as he celebrates the release of his upcoming feature "The door of time".

How hard was it starting and what sort of changes and difficulties did you encounter?
I felt lonely but I kept on doing what I came here to do. I always knew I had to work harder to stand out as a foreigner and win the trust of the people who were observing me. I had to understand the American mentality, their vision for the business, and their way of relating with people.
How did you overcome them?
Living through challenging experiences has taught me a lot of life lessons. Mingling with people as well as research through reading about American history, show business in L.A. and about the history of acting in the US. have helped me overcome most of my work challenges.
Do you miss home?
Not really. I knew what to expect from the beginning and believed very much in my ambition not to look back with regret.
Have you achieved your goals?
Yes. I have finished studying and I just finished shooting the pilot for the upcoming feature film.
What is your pilot about and how did you conceive it?
Stefano Torrese, an Italian director and I, developed an idea we intended to realize here in the States as a feature film called "The door of time". Glenn Ellis - a famous American screenwriter - is working to modify the script making it suitable, compelling and twisty enough for the American audience. I enjoy acting and have studied it in Italy for five years. Besides "The Door of Time", I have performed in three Italian features. I also run a company, which deals with advertisement, education and culture, researching projects and audiovisual productions throughout Europe (www.maltimediahouse.tv).
What was your initial investment in the project?
I have been the producer of the pilot (besides being the lead actor), as well as the main part of the project. I have invested my time, my sleep and everything else I could afford to make the project a success.
How far has it grown now and what are your future prospects?
The pilot is now launched and the official website is www.dooroftime.com.
We are in the second part of the project, the making of a feature film. We plan to present this movie with a huge event and are currently evaluating proposals from both American and Italian companies, about where the event should take place
What do you think is important for other immigrants to know?
It is hard for a foreigner to integrate into another country, but I want to tell immigrants that they have a special quality inside which is the courage to change their life and make a difference in their community. This quality can be the key to their success.
What do you think is very important when making changes in your life?
Never give up, always be conscious of difficulties but also be positive and happy. As I said, every change is a special situation, but it is also part of the natural process of life. So, no drama.
Where do you see your future taking you and what is your Philosophy of success?
I always think I can create my own future; therefore everyday is a step ahead. There is no future for those who stand and wait passively for tomorrow. My philosophy of success is staying in integrity, hard work, being sensitive enough to deal with people and strong enough not to be maneuvered by them. Small things are the keys to a man's greatest success.
Tips you would like to give others in the business?
A. Always fight for your dreams and don't be in a hurry, the world is big enough for every positive and focused person.
