International Music Legend, “The Russian Bob Dylan” Boris Grebenshikov Embarks on North American Tour, Beginning in LA on December 3
Described as the greatest living Russian poet and singer, cult music hero Boris Grebenshikov or “BG” will make his return to North America this December for a multi-city tour, in celebration of the 45th anniversary of his iconic band Aquarium that begins in Los Angeles at the Avalon on December 3.
Grebenshikov has been popular with Western audiences since 1986, when Aquarium was featured on “Red Wave,” the first compilation of rock music from St. Petersburg, Russia ever released by a US record label.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has received reports that the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has identified USPS mail service delays that affected a number of DACA renewal requests. Because the DACA policy has been rescinded and individuals can no longer request deferred action under DACA, and in light of the mail service delays identified by USPS, Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Elaine Duke has directed USCIS to accept DACA renewal requests from individuals who resubmit their DACA renewal request with individualized proof that the request was originally mailed in a timely manner and that the cause for receipt after the Oct. 5, 2017, deadline was the result of USPS mail service error.Details

The African Coalition recently held a meet and greet discussion forum with African Communities Leaders in and around Los Angeles. Moderated by board member Mr. Kofi Peprah, who provided a review of statistics of Africans in Los Angeles and the US, the forum acknowledged the gap in mental health resources for African immigrants and lamented the lack of organizations solely dedicated to the mental health of this demographic who though highly educated suffer in silence in stark contrast to other immigrant communities.Details

Under the patronage of South African born Pastor Kelvin Sauls of the Holman Methodist Church, the African Diaspora Coalition including BAJI (Black Alliance for Just Immigration), ISBL (International Society for Black Latinos) reconciled a panel of great leaders from the Pan African Diaspora in Los Angeles to discuss “Our Culture, Our Identity”.Details
