12th Annual BRAZILIAN CARNAVAL

L.A.’s official, annual party tradition, Brazilian Carnaval is the closest you can get to the excitement and rhythms of Rio and Bahia in Los Angeles. This dance and music concert features the Los Angeles Samba School who will inaugurate Carnaval with a rambunctious parade, SambaDá and Chalo Eduardo’s All Star Band of highly acclaimed international musicians performing Carnaval hits, plus an all night pageant of elite SAMBA DANCERS and CAPOEIRA, the Afro Brazilian martial art dance.

This story is set in 1990 in the suburbs of Nairobi, Kenya. A mysterious and frightening threat is starting to devastate communities in East Africa. The traditionalists are calling it a "curse caused by sorcery", and trained doctors and scientists are calling it a new virus that is transmitted through bodily fluids. The community is caught between both worlds.
