Nigerians in Los Angeles Call For Government Accountability

Hollywood, California (The Immigrant Magazine) — As Nigeria’s national strike continues to reach its peak protesters in and around the diaspora took the streets in solidarity with their counterparts back home demanding government accountability and protesting the removal of fuel subsidy which came into effect on January 1,more than doubling gas prices and sending the cost of other goods skyrocketing.

On January 14, Nigerian citizens resident in and around Los Angeles, California rallied in the premises of the CNN offices on Sunset boulevard chanting slogans in support of the demands made by the protesters in Nigeria.In an interview with some protesters, the message was simple as seen in the video”
